Sangamwadi, 21st January 2026: A woman motorist was arrested for allegedly dragging a man on the bonnet of her car for nearly two kilometres following a minor accident on the Sangamwadi–Yerwada Road.

The accused has been identified as Mercede Rasulifar (45), while the injured man is Ram Laxman Rathod (34). A case has been registered at Laxminagar Police Station, confirmed Senior Police Inspector Ravindra Kadam.

According to the police, the incident occurred on Saturday, January 17, when Rasulifar was driving from Sadalbaba Dargah Road in Yerwada towards Sangamwadi. After a minor collision with Rathod’s vehicle, an argument broke out between the two.

Rathod allegedly asked the woman to step out of her car. Instead, she continued driving. When Rathod stood in front of the vehicle to stop her, he was forced onto the bonnet as the car moved forward. The woman reportedly drove for about two kilometres with Rathod clinging to the bonnet.

The incident was captured on video and later went viral on social media, prompting swift police action and her arrest.
