18th Lokmanya Tilak National Moot Court Competition to Be Held in Pune on Feb 6–7

Pune, 29th January 2026: Excitement is building for the 18th Lokmanya Tilak National Moot Court Competition, which will be held on February 6 and 7, 2026, by Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College, Pune, run by the Deccan Education Society (DES).

Founded in 1884, the Deccan Education Society has a long legacy of nurturing intellectual strength and patriotism through education. Over the past 21 years, Shri Navalmal Firodia Law College has made a strong mark in legal education through innovative teaching methods, moot court activities, legal aid initiatives, and research-based learning.

The competition, inspired by the values of Lokmanya Tilak’s judicial vision, logic, and fearlessness, is entering its 18th year. After 17 successful editions, the event has grown into a mature and prestigious national platform that offers law students from across the country an opportunity to sharpen their advocacy and courtroom skills.

The preparations for the competition are underway under the guidance of DES President Pramod Rawat, Vice-President and CDC Chairman Advocate Ashok Palande, and Principal Dr. Sunita Adhav. Law colleges from across India have shown enthusiastic participation in this year’s edition.

The two-day competition will include preliminary, semi-final, and final rounds. The winning team will receive a cash prize of ₹25,000, while the runners-up will be awarded ₹15,000. Individual awards for Best Advocate and Best Memorial will carry ₹10,000 each, along with trophies and certificates.

This year’s moot problem is based on Corporate Law and Foreign Investment, giving students an opportunity to study in depth issues related to foreign investment regulations and shareholder rights.
