Kurukshetra 2026 Culminates in a Spectacular Showcase of Robotics and Innovation at SSPU
Pune, 7th February 2026: Kurukshetra 2026, the national-level robotics and technical fest organized by Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU), concluded successfully with an overwhelming response, marking a grand celebration of robotics, innovation, and engineering excellence. Held from 22nd to 24th January 2026 at the SSPU Kiwale campus, the event witnessed an estimated footfall of over 3,000 participants and visitors from across the country.
Hosted by the School of Mechatronics Engineering, Kurukshetra 2026 served as a vibrant platform for aspiring engineers, innovators, and robotics enthusiasts to compete, collaborate, and enhance their technical skills.
The event was conducted under the visionary leadership of Honorable Pro-Chancellor Dr. Swati Mujumdar, SSPU, whose guidance and support were instrumental in shaping the scale and success of the fest.
The three-day technical extravaganza featured a series of thrilling competitions, including Robowars in 15 kg, 8 kg, and Beetleweight categories, along with Robo Soccer, Robo Line Follower, Robo Off-Road Race, and Robo Wrestling. Teams from engineering institutions nationwide participated, delivering high-intensity performances that captivated audiences and highlighted India’s growing momentum in robotics and automation.
In addition to competitions, Kurukshetra 2026 offered expert talks, interactive technical sessions, and food stalls, creating a holistic and engaging experience for participants and visitors alike. Attendees benefited from hands-on exposure, networking opportunities, certificates of participation, and attractive prizes.
Faculty members and organizers expressed immense pride in the enthusiastic participation and the remarkable quality of innovation on display, reaffirming SSPU’s strong commitment to skill-based and experiential learning.
With the successful conclusion of Kurukshetra 2026, SSPU once again strengthened its position as a leading hub for technical education and innovation. The university also announced that admissions are open for its School of Mechatronics Engineering and School of Semiconductor Engineering, offering industry-oriented, hands-on learning opportunities.
