Pune, 10th February 2026: Nationalist Congress Party (Sharad Pawar faction) president Sharad Pawar is stable and recovering well at Ruby Hall Clinic, according to a medical update issued on Tuesday. Dr. Simon Grant, Physician and Trustee of the hospital, said Pawar’s vital parameters are within normal limits and his overall clinical condition is stable with signs of steady recovery.

“The mild discomfort noted at the time of admission has improved with ongoing medical management. As a precaution, he remains under observation. His treatment is being carried out strictly as per Ruby Hall Clinic’s established medical protocols, and all investigations are being closely monitored,” Dr. Grant said. Further decisions on the course of care will be taken based on Pawar’s clinical progress.

The hospital also appealed to party workers and well-wishers to avoid gathering within the hospital premises to ensure routine patient care is not disrupted.

Pawar was admitted to Ruby Hall Clinic around 4 pm on Monday following physical exhaustion and mild breathing discomfort after a hectic travel and engagement schedule over the past 10–12 days. He was accompanied by his wife Pratibha Pawar, daughter Supriya Sule, son-in-law Sadanand Sule and grandson Rohit Pawar. Dr. Abhijeet Lodha is overseeing his treatment.

At the time of admission, Pawar’s heart rate and oxygen levels were normal, though his respiratory rate was slightly elevated. Doctors conducted a preliminary examination and additional tests. He was admitted to a private room and did not require oxygen support or a ventilator.

Dr. Lodha had earlier told the media that there was no cause for concern, adding that congestion in the chest was being evaluated through a respiratory examination. “Reports of further tests were expected in a few hours, after which the family would decide on the next steps,” he said.

Rohit Pawar confirmed that all initial test reports were normal. “Due to physical exhaustion and mild breathing discomfort, he was admitted in his private vehicle. Supriya Sule conveyed to the doctors that treatment should be strictly according to the hospital’s protocol. Once remaining reports are received, a decision will be taken on whether he should stay in Pune or be shifted to Mumbai,” he said.

Meanwhile, both the hospital and the Pawar family reiterated their request to party workers not to crowd the premises, stressing that Ruby Hall Clinic treats many patients daily and routine care should not be affected.
