Pune, 11th February 2026: In a major step toward implementing Pune Metro Phase 2, the Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (MahaMetro) has invited tenders to appoint consultants for 14 elevated metro stations planned under Line 4B (Hadapsar to Loni Kalbhor) and Line 4C (Hadapsar to Saswad Road railway station).

The tenders are scheduled to be opened on March 5, 2026.

Under Phase 2, the Hadapsar–Loni Kalbhor corridor will span 11.35 km and include 10 stations: Hadapsar Phata, Hadapsar Bus Depot, Akashwani–Hadapsar, Laxmi Colony, Stud Farm, Manjari Phata, Grape Growers’ Association, Toll Naka, Wak Wasti and Loni Kalbhor. The line is aimed at improving metro connectivity between eastern Pune and the fast-developing Loni Kalbhor area in Pune district.

The second corridor, from Hadapsar to Saswad Road railway station, will be 5.57 km long with four elevated stations: Hadapsar Gliding Centre, Fursungi IT Park, Sulabh Garden and Saswad Road railway station. Fursungi and Saswad Road have seen rapid industrial and residential growth in recent years, and the new metro line is expected to ease daily commuting significantly.

Appointing detailed design consultants is a key step before construction begins. These consultants will handle station architecture, structural design, passenger movement planning and integration of stations with the surrounding road network.

With population growth and traffic congestion rising in areas such as Hadapsar, Manjari, Fursungi, Loni Kalbhor and Saswad Road, the two corridors are expected to strengthen Pune’s public transport network. With the tender process now underway, Pune Metro Phase 2 has moved from planning toward on-ground execution.
