Pune: Water Supply to Be Cut in Parts of Pune on February 12 for Maintenance Work

Pune, 11th February 2026: Several neighbourhoods served by the Vadgaon Water Treatment Plant will face a complete water supply shutdown on Thursday, February 12, as the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) undertakes the installation of three new kiosks at the facility.

The PMC Water Supply Department has urged residents in the affected areas to cooperate during the essential upgrade work. Officials added that supply will resume on Friday, February 13, but only late in the morning and at reduced pressure, as the system stabilises.

The disruption will impact the following areas:
Hingne, Anandnagar, Vadgaon Dhayari, Ambegaon Pathar, Dattanagar, Dhankawadi, Katraj, Bharati Vidyapeeth area, Kondhwa Budruk, Ambegaon Budruk, Yewalewadi, Sahakarnagar Part II, Ambedkar Nagar, Tilak Nagar vicinity, Dattanagar Bus Stop surroundings, and regions served by the Rajiv Gandhi Pumping Station, including Sachai Mata Tank and Santosh Nagar.

Other affected locations include Ambegaon Khurd, Sunda Mata Nagar, Wonder City, Morebaug, Shrihari Tank area, Balajinagar, Pawar Hospital area, Kedareswar Tank zone, Sukhsagar Nagar Phases 1 and 2, Rajas Society, Utkarsh Society, Sundarban Society, Shelar Mala, Katraj Gaothan, Bharat Nagar, and parts of Yewalewadi.

PMC has advised citizens to store sufficient water in advance and use it carefully during the shutdown period. The civic body stated that the ongoing work is aimed at strengthening infrastructure and ensuring more reliable water supply in the long term.
