Pune: Cavista Technologies Announces Winners of the Third Annual Cavista Technologies India Hackathon 2026

Pune, 23rd February 2026: Cavista Technologies, a global leader in software engineering and development services, hosted the third annual Cavista Technologies Hackathon at Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE). The event took place on February 21 and 22 at the PCCOE Campus in Nigdi, Pimpri Chinchwad.

The Cavista Technologies Hackathon is a coding challenge that emphasizes innovation and collaborative problem-solving among students. “This is our third Cavista Technologies Hackathon and our second consecutive year hosting it here at PCCOE. We are deeply grateful to the institution and its leadership for being such strong partners in this journey of innovation, learning, and talent development. This Hackathon is a reflection of our purpose. It is about innovation, collaboration, and learning by doing, it’s about giving bright minds like yours the space to experiment, challenge assumptions, and turn ideas into real, working solutions. What makes this event even more exciting is that it is not just happening in Pune. The Cavista Technologies Hackathon is being held simultaneously across four global locations: Dallas in the USA, India, Nigeria, and Botswana, bringing together teams across continents with one shared spirit of creativity and problem-solving”, said Bhaskar Reddy, General Manager, Cavista Technologies.

The Keynote Speaker for the event, Sister BK Ritu Thakkar who spoke on the theme: Innovating with Awareness: The Ultimate Hack for Breakthrough Creativity and Peak Performance. The event was anchored by Neeraj Sharma – Director People Operations and Tanya Sharan – Director of Operations. The Cavista Technologies Hackathon is a commitment to promoting excellence and innovation within the technology domain and highlights the symbiotic relationship between industry and academia. It recognizes that the most successful projects often emerge from diverse, cross-disciplinary teams and aims to inspire creativity and innovation among students by presenting them with various exciting challenges.

Students from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE), College of Engineering Pune (COEP), Pune Institute of Computer Technology (PICT), Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) and MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi participated in the event.

Winners of the two-day competition were: Team Synora from COEP Technological University took home the first prize, Team Aurora from MIT Academy of Engineering, Alandi was the First- Runner-up and Team Tech Tadka from Vishwakarma Institute of Technology (VIT) was the Second-Runner-up.

The Consolation Prize was awarded to Team Visionary 2.0 from Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering (PCCOE, Nigdi)
