Viman Nagar Spa Raid: Manager, Woman Jump From Second Floor While Trying to Escape Pune Police

Viman Nagar, 23rd February 2026: Two people were injured, including a woman who is reported to be in critical condition, after they allegedly jumped from the second floor of a spa building while attempting to flee during a Pune police raid on Monday evening.

According to police, a team from the Vimantal Police Station had gone to conduct a raid at a spa operating under the name The Roots Spa on Nagar Road following information about suspected illegal activities at the premises. As officers approached, the manager, identified as Hussein Rehman Sheikh, 39, and a 27-year-old woman allegedly jumped out of a second-floor window in an attempt to escape.

Both sustained injuries from the fall and were immediately taken to a hospital for treatment. Police said the woman’s condition is serious, while Sheikh also suffered injuries.

Officials confirmed that a case was being registered late into the night and further investigation is underway.
