Sus, 31st October 2026: Bavdhan police have registered a case against three named individuals and others after a woman alleged that she and her family were assaulted and their company premises vandalised during a dispute over land in Sus.

The complainant, a woman aged 41, named her brother-in-law Bipin Rai, Naveen Rai and Ritik Chakravarty in the FIR. She also accused several unidentified men and women of taking part in the alleged attack.

According to the complaint, the dispute concerns a 7.75-guntha plot in Paygude Nagar, Sus, where Rai runs an electrical company. She said the land had been in the names of her late husband, Vineet Rai, and his brother Bipin. She alleged that her husband had paid Bipin ₹81 lakh for his share in 2014, but that Bipin subsequently claimed the land after her husband’s death in April 2026.

Rai told police that on the evening of October 29, her brother called to say that people had arrived at the premises with an earthmover and were damaging the property. When she and her elder son reached the site, she alleged, her brother and tenants had already been assaulted.

The complaint alleges that Rai, her two sons and her brother were beaten, including with iron rods and wooden sticks. Rai also alleged that a woman struck her hand with an iron rod, that Naveen Rai pulled and damaged her gold necklace, and that her family was threatened.

She further alleged that two company gates, a bathroom, CCTV cameras and lights were damaged. Her brother called the police, who arrived and intervened, according to the FIR.

Bavdhan police station (Pimpri Chinchwad police) registered the FIR on October 30 under several sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. Sub-Inspector Anil Bhimrao Battishe is further investigating the case.
