Maharashtra: Sports Grace Marks for Class 10, 12 Board Exams: Online Proposals Open Till April 15
Pune, 27th February 2026: The Maharashtra State Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Pune, has directed that proposals for sports grace marks for Class 10 and Class 12 student-athletes appearing for the February–March 2026 board examinations must be submitted online by April 15.
As per a communication issued on February 26, 2026, students appearing for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examinations are eligible to apply for sports-related concessions in accordance with prescribed norms. Similar to previous years, the proposals will be forwarded by the District Sports Officer, Pune, to the divisional board strictly through the online (https://aaplesarkar.mahaonline.gov.in)
system to facilitate early declaration of examination results.
The online application system has been made available through the state government portal. Proposals will be accepted only up to April 15, 2026. Students, schools and junior colleges have been instructed to submit applications along with all required documents through the online system to the District Sports Officer, Pune.
Officials said detailed guidelines regarding the application process are provided in the user manual available on the portal and must be followed carefully while submitting proposals. All applications will be scrutinised through the online system.
In case of technical difficulties while filling the online application, applicants can contact the toll-free helpline number 18001208040. For other issues related to the submission of sports grace mark proposals, students and institutions may contact officials at the District Sports Officer’s office, Pune.
Authorities have clarified that proposals submitted without the prescribed documents will be declared ineligible. In such cases, the responsibility of rectifying errors and resubmitting the proposal online will rest with the concerned student, school or junior college, including sports teachers, headmasters and principals. Information regarding deficiencies will be communicated through the online system. No offline proposals will be accepted after the deadline.
District Sports Officer Jagannath Lakade has appealed to students, schools and junior colleges to complete the process within the stipulated timeframe to avoid rejection of applications.
