Ahilyanagar, 9th March 2026: In a proud moment for Sangamner taluka, Dhananjay Sanjay Dighe, a resident of Jorve village, has secured All India Rank (AIR) 529 in the 2025 UPSC Civil Services Examination in his third attempt, bringing pride to his family and the entire region.
Dhananjay completed his schooling up to Class 12 in Sangamner before pursuing Mechanical Engineering from D.Y. Patil College of Engineering in Pune. Coming from a farmer’s family, his journey reflects determination, perseverance, and strong family support.
Speaking about his inspiration, Dhananjay said he had been hearing about government services since his school days, which gradually developed into a strong aspiration to serve the nation. After completing his engineering degree, he began preparing for the civil services examination.
However, the journey was not easy. Dhananjay faced setbacks in his first two attempts but remained confident in his abilities and continued working steadily toward his goal.
“My parents worked extremely hard for my education. Their sacrifices motivated me to keep moving forward,” he said.
He added that maintaining a consistent daily study routine was one of the biggest challenges during preparation, especially since he had never previously prepared for a competitive examination.
Reflecting on the moment the results were announced, Dhananjay said it was a moment of immense joy for him and his family.
“When the result was declared, my family and I were extremely happy. People from my village and relatives also celebrated the success,” he said.
Despite his achievement, Dhananjay humbly acknowledged that many aspirants are equally deserving.
“I consider myself fortunate to have cleared this examination. Some of my friends were even more deserving but could not make it this time,” he added.
Sharing a message for civil services aspirants, he emphasized the importance of self-belief and perseverance.
“Keep believing in yourself, stay consistent, and trust that everything will fall into place. However, if too much time or many attempts pass, it is also wise to think about having a Plan B,” he advised.
Dhananjay’s achievement has become a source of inspiration for many young aspirants in rural Maharashtra who dream of entering the country’s prestigious civil services.
