Pune to Host Dedicated Job Fair for Ex-Servicemen on March 13
Pune, 10th March 2026: In an effort to support the transition of retired armed forces personnel into civilian careers, the Directorate General Resettlement (DGR) will organise a special job fair for ex-servicemen in Pune on March 13, 2026.
The initiative is being conducted under the Department of Ex‑Servicemen Welfare of the Ministry of Defence and aims to connect former members of the Indian Army, Indian Navy and Indian Air Force with employment opportunities in the corporate and industrial sectors.
The event will begin at 7:00 a.m. and will be held at the Bombay Engineer Group and Centre (BEG & Centre) in Khadaki.
Opportunities Across Multiple Industries:
Officials said the job fair will bring together employers from a range of sectors such as security services, information technology, administration, logistics, healthcare and engineering.
The platform is intended to help ex-servicemen present their professional experience, leadership abilities and technical skills to organisations seeking disciplined and experienced personnel.
Recruiters participating in the event will be able to review candidate profiles in advance and may conduct interviews or shortlist candidates directly during the fair.
Part of Nationwide Employment Drive:
The Pune event forms part of a nationwide employment initiative launched by DGR to improve job prospects for retired defence personnel.
During the 2025–26 financial year, DGR has planned 18 job fairs across India. So far, 15 events have already been organised in cities including New Delhi, Chennai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Varanasi, Kolkata, Secunderabad, Jammu, Bhopal, Kochi, Guwahati, Dehradun and Bengaluru.
Registration Through the ESMHire Platform:
Both employers and ex-servicemen can register online through ESMHire, an AI-based job platform designed specifically for ex-servicemen. The registration link is also available on the official website of the Directorate General Resettlement.
Officials confirmed that participation and registration for the job fair are free of cost for both companies and candidates.
Authorities said the initiative reflects the government’s commitment to support the rehabilitation and employment of former armed forces personnel, ensuring their experience and expertise continue to contribute to nation-building.
