Pune Petrol Dealers Association Confirms No Fuel Shortage, Urges Citizens to Remain Calm

Pune, 25th March 2026: The Petrol Dealers Association, Pune, has issued a clarification amid circulating rumours about petrol and diesel shortages in the district, assuring citizens that adequate fuel supplies are available.

Addressing the situation, Dhruv Ruparel, President of the association, stated, “There is no shortage of petrol or diesel in Pune. Citizens are requested not to panic or rush to petrol pumps and avoid unnecessary stocking of fuel. The situation remains stable, and supplies are sufficient to meet demand.”

Ruparel also urged the public to refrain from spreading unverified information on social media, emphasizing that such rumours could create unnecessary panic.

The association held a meeting with the District Collector of Pune earlier today. Ruparel confirmed, “Oil Marketing Companies have also assured us that there is no shortage. We are continuously monitoring the situation and remain in constant coordination with the District Administration, State Government, Oil Companies, and the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas.”

He added that any further updates will be communicated officially through press notes, and residents are requested to rely only on verified information.
