Pune, 26th March 2026: The Pune City Traffic Police have announced temporary traffic diversions on major routes, including Bajirao Road and the Lashkar (Camp) area, scheduled for March 26 (Thursday) to facilitate the ‘Shri Ram Navami’ processions. The changes aim to ensure a safe and smooth traffic flow across the city during the festivities.
According to a press release issued by Himmat Jadhav, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), the route modifications will be effective from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on Thursday, or until the processions conclude. Essential service vehicles, including fire engines, police vehicles, and ambulances, are explicitly exempt from these restrictions.

In the Camp area, multiple dynamic diversions will be implemented as the procession moves:
Y Junction: Traffic moving from Y Junction towards M.G. Road will be halted at Y Junction.
15 August Chowk: As the procession advances past Triluck Hotel and 15 August Chowk, M.G. Road traffic will be diverted to the right and left from 15 August Chowk.
Mohammad Rafi Chowk: Once the procession crosses Mohammad Rafi Chowk, traffic on M.G. Road will be redirected towards East Street.
Kohinoor Hotel: Vehicles approaching M.G. Road from Kohinoor Hotel will be stopped and diverted via Bhopla Chowk, Qureshi Masjid, and Centre Street.
Volga Chowk: Traffic moving from Volga Chowk to Mohammad Rafi Chowk will be restricted, with vehicles rerouted straight via East Street towards Indira Gandhi Chowk.
Authorities have urged citizens to utilize the suggested alternative routes during the specified hours and to cooperate fully with traffic police personnel and volunteers to prevent severe congestion.
