Pune: Prostitution Racket Busted at ‘Kinnari Saloon and Spa’ in Koregaon Park; 2 Minor Girls Rescued and one Arrested
Pune, 27th March 2026: The Pune city police’s Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) on Thursday busted an alleged prostitution racket operating under the guise of a spa in Koregaon Park and rescued two minor girls. One woman has been arrested in connection with the case.
Acting on a tip-off, the police team raided “Kinnari Saloon and Spa’ located in Siddharth Court building on Dhole Patil Road in the Bund Garden area. Police said a decoy customer was sent to verify the illegal activities before the raid was conducted.
During the operation, two minor girls were rescued. Police said the premises were being used for flesh trade activities. The arrested accused includes Rekha Nayar (29).
A case has been registered at Koregaon Park police station under sections 3, 4 and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956, along with other relevant provisions.
The raid was carried out under the supervision of additional commissioner of police Pankaj Deshmukh and deputy commissioner of police (Zone 3) Nilesh Pingale and senior police inspector Chhagan Kapase was leading the operation. Police said further investigation is underway.
