Pune Police Bust Prostitution Racket in Narhe Lodge; Four Women Rescued, Three Arrested

Narhe, 6th April 2026: The Anti-Human Trafficking Unit (AHTU) of the Pune City Police Crime Branch conducted a successful raid on a lodge in the Narhe area, busting a prostitution racket operating under the guise of a lodging service. Police rescued four women and arrested three men involved in the trade.

The raid took place on the evening of April 4, 2026, at the “Swarg Executive Paradise Lodge,” located near Zeal College in Narhe Gaon. Acting on a confidential tip-off received by the AITC, Police Inspector Chhagan Kapshe organized a decoy operation. After a “dummy customer” confirmed the illegal activities in Room No. 101 on the second floor, the police team launched a surprise raid.

The arrested individuals have been identified as:
Abhishek Dilip Gawali (24), resident of Khed Shivapur.
Ramu Sandu Devkar (24), resident of Sinhagad, Pune.
Mahesh Ganesh Nagne (34), resident of Narhe Gaon, Pune.

According to the police, the accused were using the lodge to force women into the flesh trade for financial gain. An FIR (No. 05/2026) has been registered at the Narhe Police Station under sections 143(1)(3) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with sections 3, 4, and 5 of the Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act, 1956.

The operation was carried out under the guidance of Additional Commissioner of Police (Crime) Pankaj Deshmukh, DCP (Crime) Nikhil Pingle, and ACP (Crime-3) Shankar Khatke. The raiding team included PI Chhagan Kapshe and police personnel Ishwar Andhale, Tushar Bhivarkar, Babanrao Kedar, Amay Rasal, Kishor Bhujbal, Reshma Kank, and Vaishali Ingale.
