Passport Mobile Van to Offer Passport Services at AISSMS College Pune from April 15–17
Pune, 6th April 2026: In an effort to improve access to passport services and reduce waiting time for appointments, the Regional Passport Office (RPO) Pune will deploy a Passport Mobile Van at the All India Shri Shivaji Memorial Society’s College of Engineering (AISSMS) in Pune from April 15 to April 17, 2026.
The initiative is part of the Ministry of External Affairs’ efforts to make passport appointments available at earlier dates and strengthen last-mile delivery of passport services for citizens.
According to officials, applicants can avail passport-related services at the mobile facility during the three-day camp. The Passport Mobile Seva Kendra will operate from 8:30 am to 6 pm at the AISSMS College of Engineering campus located on Kennedy Road near the RTO Office, Railway Officers Colony, Pune.
Citizens wishing to apply must first complete the online application through the Passport India website under the Normal scheme. After making the online payment, applicants can book their appointment by selecting the ‘Mobile Van’ option on the schedule appointment page.
Applicants are advised to carefully review the required document checklist for both adult and minor passport applications before submitting the online form. Authorities said that under Section 5 of the Passports Act, 1967, read with Rule 5 of the Passports Rules, 1980, the Passport Authority may conduct necessary inquiries and request additional information or documents if required for processing the application.
Applicants must report to the venue at least 15 minutes prior to their scheduled appointment time as mentioned on the online application receipt, officials said.
