Pune, 8th April 2026: A review meeting on the progress of gas pipeline works by Maharashtra Natural Gas Limited (MNGL) was held at the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) on Wednesday under the chairmanship of Mayor Manjusha Nagpure.

During the meeting, a detailed review was conducted of the ongoing gas pipeline works across Pune as well as proposed expansion projects. Officials from MNGL presented updates on the current status of pipeline installations in different parts of the city, existing coverage of the gas network and the future expansion plan.

Mayor Nagpure directed officials to prioritise areas that are still not connected to the gas pipeline network and ensure that services are extended to those localities at the earliest. She also instructed authorities to complete the ongoing works within the stipulated timeline and address any difficulties faced by citizens during the execution of the projects.

Emphasising the importance of reliable energy supply, the mayor said that ensuring safe, uninterrupted and convenient gas supply to every citizen of Pune remains a priority for the municipal corporation. She added that coordinated efforts between MNGL and the civic administration would be undertaken to achieve this objective.

Senior officials from MNGL and concerned officers of the Pune Municipal Corporation were present at the meeting.
