Pune, 9th April 2026: Host Deccan Gymkhana A, Vidyanchal Continue their winning Spree in the group league encounters at the 1st Edition of Deccan Elite Cup Basketball Tournament 2026, organized by Deccan Gymkhana and played at the Basketball Court of Deccan Gymkhana, Pune.

In a nail-biting girls Group B clash, Falcons edged past ABC 59-58 in a last-minute thriller. Krriya Kaushik led the charge with an impressive 24-point haul, while Purva Jagdale chipped in with 13 points. Despite a stellar 25-point effort from Raavi Londhe, ABC fell just short after leading 28-25 at halftime.

ABC bounced back strongly in their next outing, registering a convincing 32-18 win over Vidya Valley. Ravi Londhe (10 pts) and Yuvika Tyagi (8 pts) anchored the victory, as the team established early dominance with a 27-09 halftime lead.

In Group A, Deccan Gymkhana A delivered a one-sided performance, thrashing Sai Sports 85-09. Anusha Sontakke (16 pts) and Mihika Gadre (10 pts) spearheaded the scoring as Deccan Gymkhana A raced to an unassailable 49-05 lead at the break.

In the Boys Group, Vidyanchal clinched a hard-fought 61-59 win over St. Mary’s in Group A. Shaurya Dalvi (20 pts) and Yuvraj Sutar (16 pts) played pivotal roles, while Rohan Sharma’s 25-point effort kept St. Mary’s in contention. The match remained evenly poised, with St. Mary’s holding a slender 22-20 halftime advantage.

Deccan Gymkhana A continued their dominant run, overpowering SG Academy 64-17. Abhinav Karmarkar starred with 21 points, supported by Aryan Prajapati (17 pts), as the team took firm control early with a 38-08 halftime lead.

In Group D, Rahul Singh Basketball Academy overcame CBC 47-35. Ankit Musib led all scorers with 22 points, while Prem Bastawade contributed 14 for CBC. Despite trailing 16-26 at halftime, Rahul Singh Basketball Academy staged a strong comeback in the second half to seal the win.
