Undri, 11th April 2026: In a major enforcement drive, the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) demolished large-scale unauthorised constructions at multiple Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plants in the Undri–Autade–Handewadi areas of Haveli taluka.

The action, carried out by the Building Development Department of Zone-1, targeted illegal structures spread across approximately 27,300 square feet. Officials said the demolished structures included unauthorised sheds, machinery installations, and other components erected without mandatory permissions.

Civic officials found that several RMC project operators had continued construction and operations without securing the required approvals, prompting strict action by the PMC.
The demolition drive was conducted under the guidance of Superintending Engineer Praveen Shende and Executive Engineer Suresh Sakhle.

The operation was executed by a team comprising Deputy Engineers Sandeep Shinde and Rahul Sorte, along with Junior Engineers Rutuja Chilakewar, Rajendra Funde, Sagar Shinde and Kiran Ahirrao.

A significant workforce, including labourers and two JCB machines, was deployed to carry out the demolition. In total, action was taken against seven RMC plants during the drive.

The PMC has also informed the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB) and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) for further legal and administrative action against the concerned project operators.

Adequate police security was deployed during the operation to prevent any untoward incidents, ensuring the drive was completed smoothly with the support of local administration and law enforcement agencies.

PMC officials have warned that strict and immediate action will continue against unauthorised RMC plants and illegal constructions. Operators running such facilities without necessary approvals will face penalties and legal action. Authorities reiterated that obtaining mandatory permissions from the PMC, MPCB, and MSEDCL is compulsory before starting any RMC plant.
