Pune, 22nd April 2026: Pune Police have now begun engaging delivery executives to ensure compliance with traffic rules and promote safer road behaviour in the city.

As part of this initiative, the Pune City Traffic Branch organised a guidance session for Swiggy delivery partners in Yerwada on Tuesday. The programme aimed to address traffic-related challenges faced by delivery personnel during work and to create awareness about road safety measures.

Under the guidance of the Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic), Pune City, Police Inspectors Runal Mulla and Pingale interacted with the delivery executives and provided key instructions on safe driving practices. They emphasised the importance of wearing helmets, following traffic signals, and adhering to road safety norms while operating on busy city roads.

Officials said the initiative is part of a broader effort to improve traffic discipline and reduce road accidents by involving frequent road users such as delivery personnel in awareness programmes.

Around 120 delivery executives attended the session, where they were also encouraged to report unsafe road conditions and follow responsible driving behaviour during deliveries.
