One-Way Summer Special Trains Announced from Pune to Kharagpur, Hadapsar to Asansol

Pune, 23 April 2026: To manage the surge in passenger traffic during the summer travel season, the Central Railway’s Pune Division will operate two additional one-way “Train on Demand” summer special services from the division on April 24, 2026.

According to railway officials, the special trains will run on special charges and cater to long-distance passengers travelling towards eastern India.

The Pune–Kharagpur One-Way Special (Train No. 01455) will depart from Pune Railway Station at 15:50 hrs on Friday, April 24, and is scheduled to reach Kharagpur at 23:40 hrs the following day. The train will halt at major stations including Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar (Ahmednagar), Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha, Nagpur, Gondia, Durg, Raipur, Bilaspur, Jharsuguda, Rourkela, Chakradharpur, and Tatanagar. The train will consist of 21 ICF coaches, including AC 2-tier, AC 3-tier, sleeper class, general second class, and luggage-cum-guard brake vans.

The second service, Hadapsar–Asansol One-Way Special (Train No. 01459), will depart from Hadapsar Railway Station at 10:00 hrs on the same day and will arrive at Asansol at 02:00 hrs on the third day. En route, it will halt at stations such as Daund Chord Line, Ahilyanagar, Kopargaon, Manmad, Bhusaval, Khandwa, Itarsi, Jabalpur, Katni, Satna, Manikpur, Prayagraj Chheoki, Pt. Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Junction, Sasaram, Dehri On Sone, Gaya, Koderma, Parasnath, Dhanbad, and Chittaranjan. This train will also operate with 21 ICF coaches, including AC 3-tier, WGCNAC, sleeper class, general second class, and brake vans.

Railways stated that advance reservations for both trains are open at computerised PRS counters and on the IRCTC website.

General second class and luggage-cum-guard vans in these trains will function as unreserved coaches. Tickets for unreserved travel can be booked through the RailOne app with applicable charges for Mail/Express or Superfast trains.

Passengers have been advised to verify exact arrival and departure timings at intermediate stations before travel through the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the official NTES mobile application.
