Pune Pragati Express to Get New Train Numbers From January 1, 2027

Pune, 30th October 2026: Passengers travelling between Pune and Mumbai on the Pragati Express will have to take note of revised train numbers from January 1, 2027, as Central Railway has decided to reclassify the service from Superfast to Non-Superfast.

Under the revised numbering system, the CSMT–Pune Pragati Express will operate as train number 11435, replacing its existing number 12125. The return service, Pune–CSMT Pragati Express, will be renumbered 11436, replacing the existing number 12126.

The changes are being implemented in accordance with Railway Board guidelines as part of Central Railway’s decision to revise the status and train numbers of selected services.

Both services will operate as Non-Superfast trains from January 1, 2027.
