Pune: Sharad Pawar Stable, Discharged from Hospital, Say Family Members

Pune, 23rd April 2026: Senior Nationalist Congress Party (SP) leader Sharad Pawar is stable and has been discharged from hospital, family members said on Thursday, putting an end to speculation regarding his health that had been circulating on social media over the past few hours.

Family members clarified that Pawar is currently resting at his Mumbai residence and his condition is good.

MLA Rohit Pawar sought to reassure party workers through a Facebook post, saying he had personally spoken to Sharad Pawar over the phone.

“Many party workers called me out of concern regarding the health of respected Pawar Saheb. His health is fine and he has been discharged from hospital. I also spoke to him on the phone recently regarding some work. No one should worry about his health,” Rohit Pawar said.

Jay Pawar also dismissed rumours while speaking to reporters in Baramati.

He said he had spoken to Revati Sule, who informed him that Sharad Pawar had been discharged from hospital and his condition was stable.

The Pawar family has appealed to supporters and party workers not to believe false information or rumours being spread regarding the veteran leader’s health.
