Manchar, 23rd April 2026: As temperatures continue to rise, many animals are facing acute water shortages. In response, Dr Deepti Sali has launched the “Panyachi Maya” initiative, placing water containers at various locations to ensure that stray animals and birds have access to drinking water. The effort has emerged as a small but meaningful step toward protecting animal life during harsh weather conditions.

Speaking about the initiative, Dr Sali emphasised the importance of compassion, stating that even a simple act like keeping water outside can help save lives. The initiative aims to encourage more people to take responsibility and care for animals in their surroundings.

Residents have appreciated the effort, with some joining in by placing bowls of water near their homes. Locals believe such actions help raise awareness and inspire others to contribute. One supporter said the initiative demonstrates how small efforts can make a big difference for animals during extreme heat.

Beyond helping animals, the initiative has also brought the community together. By spreading awareness and encouraging participation, Dr Sali hopes more people will adopt similar practices in their neighbourhoods.
