Pune: PMC Approves Rs 54 Crore Repair Work for Hadapsar Gadital Flyover
Hadapsar, 23rd April 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has approved a proposal worth ₹53.96 crore for the repair of the Gadital flyover in Hadapsar, amid rising traffic pressure in the area.
The proposal was placed before the standing committee for approval and has now been cleared, committee chairman Shrinath Bhimale said. The civic administration has recommended awarding the contract to M/s Sanrachna Structural Strengthening Pvt. Ltd., a Thane-based firm, which submitted the lowest bid.
The initial project estimate was pegged at approximately ₹69.17 crore. However, following the tendering process, the company quoted ₹45.71 crore, which is about 22 percent lower than the estimated cost. After adding Goods and Services Tax (GST) of ₹8.22 crore and material testing charges of ₹22,300, the total project cost is expected to reach ₹53.96 crore.
A total of four bids were received for the project, of which three were found technically eligible while one was disqualified. Apart from Sanrachna, bids were also submitted by Freyssinet Prestressed Concrete Company and SMC Infrastructures. The administration noted that the lowest bid was in line with prevailing market rates.
The repair work will include technical upgrades such as replacement of expansion joints and bearings, crack filling, epoxy grouting, carbon laminates, and scaffolding. The project will be executed through the PMC’s project department, with budgetary provisions already made in the 2026–27 civic budget.
Officials said the repair of the flyover is necessary given the increasing traffic load in the Hadapsar area, and the work will be expedited following the approval.
