IMD Forecast: Pune Braces for Hotter Days as IMD Predicts Temperatures Up to 43°C till May 4
Pune, 28th April 2026: Pune and adjoining areas are likely to continue experiencing hot weather with mainly clear skies over the next few days, with maximum temperatures expected to hover between 38°C and 43°C, according to the latest local forecast issued by the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The IMD forecast for April 29 to May 4 shows Lohegaon likely to remain the hottest location in the district, with day temperatures touching 41°C to 43°C during the period. On April 29, Lohegaon is expected to record 41°C, rising to 43°C on May 3 and May 4.
In Pune city, the maximum temperature is forecast at 39°C on April 29 and 30, increasing to 40°C on May 1 and May 2, before touching 41°C on May 3 and May 4. Minimum temperatures in the city are expected to remain between 22°C and 24°C.
Chinchwad is also expected to witness hot conditions, with maximum temperatures between 39°C and 41°C over the next week.
Koregaon Park is forecast to remain warmer than many other central locations, with daytime temperatures between 40°C and 42°C and minimum temperatures ranging from 25°C to 27°C.
Pashan and Lavale are likely to remain comparatively cooler pockets, with maximum temperatures mostly between 38°C and 41°C. Minimum temperatures in these areas are expected to range from 21°C to 27°C.
Magarpatta and NDA areas are forecast to see maximum temperatures between 38°C and 40°C, while night temperatures may stay between 20°C and 22°C in the coming days.
The IMD has predicted mainly clear skies across Pune and surrounding areas throughout the forecast period, which could further support daytime heat buildup. Residents have been advised to avoid prolonged exposure to the sun during peak afternoon hours and stay hydrated as summer conditions persist.
