Pune: PMC Flags 13 ‘Unauthorised’ Schools, Urges Parents to Avoid Addmissions
Pune, 6th May 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has issued a public notice listing schools in the city that are allegedly operating without the required permissions, cautioning parents against enrolling their children in these institutions.
In the notice issued by the primary education department, the civic body stated that these schools have been found to be unauthorised for the academic year 2025–26. Officials warned that admitting children to such schools could result in academic loss, as their recognition and validity remain uncertain.
“Parents are advised not to seek admission in these schools. Enrolling children in unauthorised institutions may lead to educational loss,” the notice said.
List of schools flagged as unauthorised:
1. New Millennium Star English Medium School, near Bibwewadi Police Station, next to Vimal Vihar, Chintamani Nagar, Pune 37)
2. Mahatma Gandhi Prashala, Plot No. 52, Lane No. 2B, Sanjay Park, Yerawada
3. Team Taqwa Islamic School and Madarsa, NIBM Road, Kondhwa
4. St View International School, Kondhwa Budruk
5. Emmanuel Public School, Mohammadwadi Road, Hadapsar
6. Akanksha Academy School, Ajinkya D. Y. Patil Road, Lohegaon
7. Alora Medical and Education Foundation, Ayan Public School, Manjari Nagar, Narhe
8. Legacy High School, Ashrafnagar, Kondhwa Budruk
9. Shivali Nomani English Medium School, Ashrafnagar, Kondhwa Budruk

The civic body has appealed to citizens to verify the recognition status of schools before taking admission and ensure that children are enrolled only in authorised institutions to safeguard their academic future.
