Citizens Can Now Access Aadhaar Services From 8 am to 8 pm on All Working Days at Pune GPO
Pune, 14th May 2026: In a move aimed at improving access to Aadhaar-related services, the Department of Posts has extended the working hours of the Aadhaar Facilitation Centre at the Pune Head Post Office near Sadhu Vaswani Chowk. The centre will now function from 8 am to 8 pm on all working days.
Postal department officials said the decision was taken to help citizens who find it difficult to visit the centre during regular office hours due to work and other commitments. The extended timings are expected to benefit working professionals, students, senior citizens and daily wage earners seeking Aadhaar-related services.
Citizens can avail services including Aadhaar enrolment, mobile number updates, address corrections, biometric updates, correction in date of birth and other related facilities at the centre.
Officials said the Department of Posts has been focusing on expanding citizen-centric services and improving accessibility in both urban and rural areas. Apart from traditional postal services, the department now offers a range of services such as Aadhaar enrolment and updates, India Post Payments Bank facilities, savings schemes, insurance services, parcel delivery and e-commerce logistics.
To support the extended hours, the Pune Head Post Office has upgraded infrastructure and streamlined processes at the Aadhaar centre. Additional arrangements, including trained staff and improved technical facilities, have also been put in place to enhance customer experience and reduce crowding during peak hours.
“Providing convenient and quality services to citizens is the primary objective of the Department of Posts. Citizens should make maximum use of the extended facility,” said Sameer Mahajan, senior superintendent, Pune City East Division.
