NDA Pune Passing Out Parade 2026: Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi To Review 150th Course POP

Pune, 19th May 2026: The prestigious Passing Out Parade (POP) of the 150th Course of the National Defence Academy (NDA) will be held on May 30, 2026, at the iconic Khetarpal Parade Ground in Khadakwasla, Pune.

General Upendra Dwivedi, PVSM, AVSM, Chief of the Army Staff, will review the parade as the Reviewing Officer. Approximately 355 cadets from the Army, Navy and Air Force are scheduled to pass out during the grand ceremonial parade of the Spring Term 2026, marking the successful culmination of the rigorous military and academic training imparted at the Academy.

Ahead of the Passing Out Parade, the Convocation Ceremony of the 150th Course will be held on May 29, 2026, at Habibullah Hall, NDA. Dr Kiran Bedi, IPS (Retd), former Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry, will attend the ceremony as the Chief Guest and address the graduating cadets.

The National Defence Academy, under the command of Vice Admiral Anil Jaggi, AVSM, Commandant, NDA, and Air Vice Marshal Rajesh Varma, VM, VSM, Deputy Commandant, NDA, continues to uphold its rich tradition of grooming future military leaders of the nation through comprehensive tri-services training.

Widely regarded as the cradle of military leadership, the National Defence Academy is India’s premier tri-services training institution and is considered among the finest military academies in the world. The Academy imparts rigorous military, academic and character-building training to prepare cadets for leadership roles in the Armed Forces.

Speaking about the significance of the event, Ankush Chavan, Defence PRO and Spokesperson, Pune, said that the Passing Out Parade and Convocation Ceremony symbolise the culmination of discipline, dedication, military training and academic excellence achieved by the cadets during their training at the National Defence Academy. He added that the event reflects the enduring ethos, jointmanship and leadership values of the Indian Armed Forces.

The Passing Out Parade will feature an impressive military parade, inspection of contingents, presentation of medals and awards, fly-pasts by military aircraft and helicopters, and the traditional ‘Antim Pag’ ceremony by the graduating cadets.

The event marks a proud and emotional milestone for cadets, parents, instructors and the Armed Forces fraternity, symbolising the transition of young cadets into future military leaders dedicated to the service of the nation.
