Maharashtra FYJC Admission 2026: Over 12.5 Lakh Students Register for Class 11 First Round
Pune, 27th May 2026: More than 12.5 lakh students across Maharashtra have registered for the first regular round of the Class 11 admission process, with the first merit list and cut-off marks scheduled to be announced on May 29.
The centralised online admission process for junior colleges is being conducted by the Maharashtra School Education and Sports Department.
According to official data, a total of 12,51,294 students completed registration for the first round till Tuesday morning after the state government extended the application deadline due to technical issues on the admission portal.
Initially, students were given time till Monday to complete Part 2 of the online application form after several applicants faced difficulties while submitting their forms. Later, following directions issued by the Aurangabad bench of the Bombay High Court in connection with a petition, the deadline was further extended till 6 am on Tuesday.
Of the total registered students, 6,18,369 are boys and 6,16,345 are girls. Officials said 1,58,849 students have paid the required admission fee, while 1,11,809 students have completed and locked Part 1 of their application forms.
The education department stated that the allotment process for the first regular admission round will continue till May 28.
The first selection list and cut-off marks will be released on May 29, and students will also receive admission-related updates through SMS alerts.
Students allotted seats in the first round will have to visit their allotted junior colleges between May 29 and June 3 to confirm admission. They will also have the option to cancel or reject the allotted seat during this period.
The schedule for the second admission round will be announced on June 5, while details of vacant seats in junior colleges will be published on June 6.
