‘A Role Model for Principals’: SPPU Director Honours Dr. Sanjay Chakane

Pune, 15th June 2026: Principal Dr. Sanjay Chakane of Tikaram Jagannath Arts, Commerce, and Science College, Khadki, paid a brief goodwill visit to the School of Education at Savitribai Phule Pune University. During the visit, he was felicitated by the School’s Director, Dr. Vilas Adhav, who presented him with a portrait of Savitribai Phule along with a copy of her poem, “Tyas Manav Mhanave Ka” (Should One Call Such a Person a Human?).

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Adhav remarked that Principal Dr. Chakane has been his friend for over three decades; he noted that Dr. Chakane is doing remarkable work as a principal and serves as a role model for all principals.

The event was attended by Dr. Geeta Shinde (Head of the Department of Education and Extension), Dr. Ganesh Bhame (NSS Coordinator), Dr. Vaibhav Jadhav, and other dignitaries, as well as teaching and non-teaching staff from the department.
