Pune: Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Employee Booked for Molesting Woman Teacher After Census Duty
Pimpri Chinchwad, 18th June 2026: A 45-year-old employee of the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has been booked for allegedly molesting a woman teacher at the corporation’s ‘F’ zone office after she completed her census duty.
The victim, who teaches at a private educational institution in the city, was returning home after finishing her census-related work assigned by the state government when the incident occurred. According to the FIR lodged at Nigdi police station, the accused stopped her at the zonal office and allegedly made objectionable advances, saying, “Take leave for the whole day. Let’s go out together,” while attempting to get physically close to her.
The woman immediately lodged a complaint, following which a case has been registered against the employee. Police are investigating the matter.
