‘She Tried to Kill Him Earlier Too’: Ketan’s Father Makes Shocking Claim as Siya’s ‘Why Did You Leave Me?’ Post Goes Viral

Pune, 23rd June 2026: The Lohagad Fort murder case has taken a dramatic turn, with fresh allegations emerging from the victim’s family and renewed scrutiny over the accused’s social media activity. Vishal Agarwal, father of 25-year-old Ketan Agarwal, who died at Lohagad Fort on June 18, has alleged that his son’s fiancée, Siya Pravin Goyal, had attempted to kill him once before the fatal incident.

Meanwhile, emotional Instagram posts shared by Siya mourning Ketan’s death have gone viral after Pune Rural Police arrested her and her alleged lover, Chetan Choudhary, in connection with the murder.

Father Makes Serious Allegations
Speaking to reporters in Pimpri-Chinchwad, Vishal Agarwal claimed that Siya had made an earlier attempt on Ketan’s life before the incident that ultimately led to his death. He also demanded that Pune Rural Police investigate Siya’s family members, alleging that they may have been aware of or involved in the conspiracy.

According to Vishal Agarwal, Ketan and Siya were scheduled to travel to Bali on June 6 for a pre-wedding photoshoot. They were travelling to Mumbai Airport along with Ketan’s sister and Siya’s brother, Sahil. During the journey, the group stopped at a food mall, where Siya allegedly returned to the vehicle alone, saying she had forgotten her phone.

“When they reached the airport, Ketan’s passport was missing. Before leaving home, he had his passport and foreign currency with him. We searched everywhere, but the passport could not be found, and the trip had to be cancelled,” Vishal Agarwal alleged.

‘She Took Ketan’s Passport’

Vishal Agarwal further alleged that Siya had removed Ketan’s passport from the vehicle during the stop and deliberately caused the Bali trip to be cancelled.

He claimed that this was part of a larger plan to keep Ketan in Pune and prevent the couple from travelling abroad.

Claim of Earlier Attempt at Lohagad Fort

According to Vishal Agarwal, after the cancelled Bali trip, Siya insisted on visiting Lohagad Fort. He alleged that Ketan and Siya visited the fort on June 14, four days before Ketan’s death, and that Siya made an unsuccessful attempt to push him into a gorge.

“She pushed Ketan in a similar manner, but he managed to grab a bush and save himself. When he questioned her, she claimed she had panicked after seeing a snake and hugged him. Ketan believed her. Looking back now, I feel it was all pre-planned,” Vishal Agarwal alleged.

He said the marriage between Ketan and Siya had been arranged with the consent of both families, but claimed his family was unaware of Siya’s alleged relationship with another man, later identified by police as Chetan Choudhary.

‘No Father Can Foresee Such a Tragedy’

“We had known the family for decades. We never imagined something like this could happen. No father can foresee such a tragedy,” a grief-stricken Vishal Agarwal said.

He also alleged that Siya’s family was aware of her relationship and had arranged the marriage in the hope that she would change her mind. He urged police to investigate her parents and other relatives.

Pune Rural Police have so far arrested Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary in connection with Ketan Agarwal’s murder. However, police have not independently confirmed Vishal Agarwal’s allegations regarding the June 14 incident, the missing passport, or the alleged involvement of Siya’s family members. The investigation remains ongoing.

Emotional Instagram Posts Go Viral

In a striking contrast to the allegations against her, Siya Goyal had posted several emotional Instagram Stories following Ketan’s death, describing him as the love of her life. The posts have since gone viral on social media following her arrest.

In one post, she wrote:
“You left me on my birthday. You left when we were so close to getting married. I still can’t understand why you did this to me. I had dreams, and now I want answers too. Why did you leave me when I loved you so much? Rest in peace.”

She also shared videos featuring moments with Ketan. In one clip, Ketan is seen affectionately looking at Siya and complimenting her appearance. According to police, the video was recorded on the day of his death.
Another video showed the couple dancing together at a hotel while a guitarist performed in the background. Siya accompanied the post with lyrics from a song by Shehnaaz Gill: “Mere dil ko pata hai tu yahi hai, wapas aaja” (“My heart knows you are here, come back”).

Police Version
According to Pune Rural Police, Siya initially claimed that Ketan had accidentally fallen into a gorge while the couple was at Lohagad Fort. Police said she informed a security guard, contacted the authorities, and later conveyed the same version of events to Ketan’s family.

The case took a significant turn when Ketan’s family expressed suspicions and informed investigators about disputes between the couple prior to the incident.

According to Pune Rural Superintendent of Police Sandeep Singh Gill, technical analysis and electronic evidence allegedly established the presence of Chetan Choudhary near the crime scene. Police claim that Siya and Chetan were in a relationship and conspired to eliminate Ketan because the arranged marriage had become an obstacle to their relationship.

Both Siya Goyal and Chetan Choudhary have been arrested and booked in connection with the case. Police said further arrests cannot be ruled out as the investigation progresses.
