Tulapur ‘Project X’ Party Scandal: Rs 9.5 Lakh Liquor Traced to Pune Club
Pune, 24th June 2026: The liquor stock worth more than ₹9.5 lakh seized during the controversial ‘Project X’ house party at Tulapur has been traced to Di Mora Club in Pune’s Rajabahadur Mill area, officials investigating the case have found. Following the revelation, the State Excise Department has initiated proceedings against the club for allegedly violating liquor licence norms by supplying alcohol to an unauthorised location.
The ‘Project X’ party was organised at a luxury bungalow in Tulapur and had permission to continue only until 11.30 pm. However, authorities found that the event continued well beyond the permitted time and lasted until the early hours of the morning. Pune Police subsequently conducted a raid and registered offences against the organisers and 78 participants.
During the operation, police seized liquor bottles valued at over ₹9.5 lakh, 10 prohibited hookah pots and other materials. Since the raid, investigators had been trying to establish the source of the liquor supplied at the event.
According to officials, a detailed examination of tags, stickers and distribution records attached to the seized liquor bottles revealed that the stock belonged to Di Mora Club. Investigators have also found evidence suggesting that the liquor was transported from the club premises to the Tulapur bungalow in a tempo vehicle specifically arranged for the party.
The investigation has further pointed to the alleged involvement of Di Mora Club co-owners Siddhant Santosh Dhuwadi and Dishant Santosh Dhuwadi in the organisation of the event.
Based on these findings, the State Excise Department has concluded that the club breached the conditions of its liquor licence. Under excise regulations, liquor purchased or stored under a licence issued for a specific premises cannot be transported and served at another location without the requisite permissions.
A senior excise official said that a proposal recommending action against the Di Mora Club has been submitted to the Pune District Collector’s office. Once the proposal is examined, the authorities may impose a penalty, suspend the club’s licence, or cancel it altogether, depending on the gravity of the violations established.
The latest findings add a new dimension to the investigation into the high-profile Tulapur house party, which has already resulted in criminal cases against organisers and attendees for alleged violations of law and licence conditions.
