PMC Announces Day-Long Water Cut in Parts of Pune on July 2
Pune, 29th June 2026: The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has announced a day-long water supply disruption in several parts of the city on Thursday, July 2, due to repair work on a 2,000-mm diameter main water pipeline near the Parvati HLR reservoir at Padmavati.
According to the PMC Water Supply Department, a leak has developed in the trunk pipeline supplying water from the Parvati Pumping Station to reservoirs at Padmavati, Bibvewadi, Taljai and the Upper Indiranagar Pumping Station. The pipeline will remain shut to facilitate repairs.
As a result, water supply will remain suspended on Thursday in areas including Sahakarnagar, Padmavati, Bibvewadi, Taljai, Upper, Lower and Super Indiranagar, Shivdarshan, Gangadham, Chintamaninagar, Ambedkar Nagar, Dole Mala, Salisbury Park, Dhankawadi (parts), Kondhwa Khurd (Survey Nos. 42 and 46), Premnagar, Bibvewadi Gaothan and adjoining localities.
The civic body said water supply will resume on Friday, July 3, but residents may experience delayed supply and low water pressure during the morning hours.
The PMC has appealed to citizens to store adequate water in advance and cooperate during the repair work.
