Narayan Seva Sansthan Successfully Organizes Mega Free Disability Camp in Pune, Benefiting Hundreds of Persons with Disabilities

Pune, 5th July 2026: Reinforcing its unwavering commitment to empowering persons with disabilities, Narayan Seva Sansthan (NSS), in association with Tata Tele Business Services and Newmann & Essar Group, successfully organized a Mega Free Disability Screening, Corrective Surgery Selection and 3D Printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limb Measurement Camp at Alp Bachat Bhavan, Pune, on Sunday.

The camp witnessed an overwhelming response, with 396 persons with disabilities benefiting from the initiative. A team of experienced orthopedic surgeons, prosthetic experts, and rehabilitation professionals conducted detailed medical examinations. Following comprehensive assessments, Organises Mega Free Disability Camp in Pune, with 396 beneficiaries measured for Japanese- and German-tech-based 3D-printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs and Callipers while 22 beneficiaries were selected for free corrective surgeries, which will be performed by Narayan Seva Sansthan to improve their mobility and quality of life.

The advanced 3D Printed Narayan Modular Artificial Limbs, developed using Japanese and German technology, are lightweight, durable, highly precise, and designed to provide superior comfort, enhanced functionality, and greater independence to beneficiaries. The prosthetic limbs will be fitted free of cost during the next camp in Pune after the manufacturing process is completed over the next two to three months.

The camp was inaugurated by Dr. Raghunath Kuchik, Former Minister, Government of Maharashtra and General Secretary, Bharatiya Kamgar Sena, who praised the humanitarian efforts of Narayan Seva Sansthan. Addressing the gathering, he said that serving persons with disabilities is equivalent to serving humanity and appreciated the institution’s remarkable contribution towards their rehabilitation and empowerment. He also called upon society to support such service-oriented initiatives.

The programme was attended by several distinguished guests, including Mannu Singh, Vice President, Tata Tele Business Services; Hemant Borhade, Chief Finance Controller, Newmann & Essar Group Engineering India Pvt. Ltd.

Speaking on the occasion, Prashant Agarwal, President, Narayan Seva Sansthan, said, “The overwhelming response to the Mega Free Disability Camp reflects the growing need for accessible healthcare and rehabilitation services. Presenting the camp, Devendra Chaubisa, Trustee-Director, Narayan Seva Sansthan, highlighted the institution’s diverse humanitarian initiatives. He said, “Our mission extends beyond medical treatment to holistic rehabilitation and social empowerment. Through free corrective surgeries, Narayan Artificial Limbs, education, skill development, self-employment training, daily meals for nearly 5,000 needy people, Narayan Children’s Academy for underprivileged children, and mass weddings for persons with disabilities, we strive to transform lives with dignity and compassion.”

During the camp, guests interacted with beneficiaries and their families while learning about the complete process of medical evaluation, prosthetic limb manufacturing, and rehabilitation. The institution also arranged free meals, refreshments, and tea for all beneficiaries and attendants. A dedicated team of 40 volunteers and professionals ensured the smooth execution of the camp.

Narayan Seva Sansthan continues to work towards empowering persons with disabilities through free corrective surgeries, advanced artificial limbs, rehabilitation services, education, skill development, and various humanitarian initiatives. The Pune camp marks another significant milestone in the organization’s ongoing mission to transform lives through compassionate service and modern rehabilitation technologies.

Recognised at the highest national level, NSS Founder Kailash Manav Agarwal received the Padma Shri in 2008 from then President Pratibha Patil for his contributions to social service. Continuing this legacy, NSS President Prashant Agarwal was honoured with the National Award in 2023 by President Droupadi Murmu for advancing the empowerment of persons with disabilities. Since its inception in 1985, the institution has provided free artificial limbs to more than 39,388 beneficiaries and free medical treatment and rehabilitation services to over 452,000 persons with disabilities, making it one of India’s leading organizations in disability rehabilitation and humanitarian service.
