Pune: Deccan Queen, Deccan Express, Intercity, Indore Express Among Key Trains Cancelled Till July 17
Pune, 10th July 2026: Central Railway has announced the temporary cancellation of several passenger trains, including the Deccan Queen, Deccan Express and Intercity Express, following landslides triggered by heavy rainfall on the Lonavala–Karjat section on July 6. The cancellations will remain in effect on various dates up to July 17, 2026, as restoration work continues on the affected ghat section.
According to Central Railway, heavy rainfall caused landslides at multiple locations between Lonavala and Karjat, disrupting train operations. Restoration work is underway on all three railway lines, but extensive damage and difficult working conditions have delayed the resumption of normal services.
The railway administration said the advance announcement of cancellations has been made to help passengers plan their journeys and avoid inconvenience caused by short-notice disruptions.
Among the major daily trains cancelled from July 10 to July 17 are:

12123 CSMT–Pune Deccan Queen
11007 CSMT–Pune Deccan Express
11008 Pune–CSMT Deccan Express
12127 CSMT–Pune Intercity Express

Several other trains have also been cancelled on specific dates between July 9 and July 17. These include the Mahalaxmi Express between CSMT and Kolhapur, Jodhpur–Hadapsar Express, Dadar–Satara Express, Satara–Dadar Express, and the Dadar–Sainagar Shirdi Express along with its return service.
In addition, Central Railway has cancelled several special trains during the affected period. These include special services connecting CSMT, Pune and Hadapsar with Gorakhpur, Ghazipur City and Hazrat Nizamuddin on scheduled dates between July 10 and July 17.
Central Railway stated that restoration work is continuing round the clock, with senior railway officials monitoring operations at the affected locations. Passengers have been advised to check the latest train running status through the National Train Enquiry System (NTES) or the railway helpline before commencing their journey.
