Direct Pune-Dubai and Pune-Bangkok Flights Resume, Bringing Relief to International Travellers
Pune, 2nd August 2026: International travellers from Pune have received a major boost as direct flight services to Dubai and Bangkok, which had been suspended earlier due to the conflict in the Gulf region and rising fuel prices, have resumed.
The restoration of these services is expected to benefit leisure travellers, business professionals and the city’s growing corporate sector by eliminating the need to travel via Mumbai for international flights.
The suspension of the routes had forced many passengers from Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad to use Mumbai Airport for overseas travel, increasing both travel time and expenses. With the resumption of the direct services, travellers can once again fly directly from Pune to two of the most popular international destinations.
Boost for Tourism and Business
The return of the direct flights is expected to strengthen Pune’s international connectivity. With the region’s expanding IT industry, growing manufacturing sector and increasing business activity, direct air links with Dubai—a major global commercial hub—are considered crucial for corporate travel.

Air India Express resumed its daily Pune-Bangkok service on August 1, 2026.
- Pune to Bangkok (Flight IX 242): Departs from Pune at 7:15 am.
- Bangkok to Pune (Flight IX 241): Arrives in Pune at 5:30 pm.
IndiGo – Pune to Dubai
IndiGo has resumed its daily Pune-Dubai service from August 2, 2026.
- Pune to Dubai (Flight 6E 1483): Departs at 12:25 am.
- Dubai to Pune (Flight 6E 1484): Arrives in Pune at 10:25 pm the following day.
Airport officials and the aviation industry expect the restored international routes to improve travel convenience for passengers from Pune and neighbouring districts while supporting the region’s tourism, trade and business sectors.
