Maharashtra ITI Admissions 2026: Institute-Level Counselling to Begin from August 12, DVET Releases Schedule
Pune, 3rd August 2026: The Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET), Maharashtra, has announced the schedule for the Institute-Level Counselling Round for admissions to Government and Private Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) for the August 2026 academic session.
According to DVET Director Satish Suryawanshi, the admission process is being conducted through the centralised online admission system, and eligible candidates have been advised to complete all required formalities within the stipulated timelines.
Candidates who have registered but are yet to secure admission will be allowed to correct their application details or submit objections from August 6 to August 7. Following this, a combined merit list for the counselling round will be published on August 8, and candidates will also receive updates through SMS.
Eligible applicants must register for their preferred ITI and trade by logging into their admission accounts between August 9 and August 10. The institute-wise merit list, along with the counselling date and time, will be announced by August 11.
The first institute-level counselling round will be conducted on August 12 and 13, during which admissions will be granted based on merit, eligibility, and seat availability. Candidates will also be required to complete original document verification and confirm their admissions during this period.
DVET has also scheduled Institute-Level Counselling Rounds 2 to 7 between August 17 and August 22 to fill the remaining vacant seats. During these rounds, candidate attendance will be recorded in the morning, institute-wise merit lists will be published daily, and counselling and seat allotment will take place from the afternoon onwards.
Meanwhile, private ITIs will continue their institute-level admission process for vacant seats until August 22.
The Directorate has advised all eligible candidates to regularly monitor the official admission portal and complete every stage of the admission process within the prescribed deadlines to avoid missing admission opportunities for the August 2026 session.
