Pune: Technical Fault at MSEDCL Substation Disrupts Power Supply on Sinhagad Road, Hingne
Pune, 7th August 2026: A technical fault at the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited’s (MSEDCL) Sai Nagar 22/11 kV substation on Friday morning disrupted power supply to several areas, including Sinhagad Road, Hingne and Sai Nagar.
According to MSEDCL, the outage occurred after a sudden technical snag developed at the substation, which falls under its Parvati division.
Repair work is currently underway on a war footing, while efforts are being made to restore electricity through alternative power supply routes.
MSEDCL said power supply to the Hingne area has already been restored through an alternate feeder, while electricity in the remaining affected areas, including parts of Sinhagad Road and Sai Nagar, is expected to be restored shortly.
The power utility has appealed to consumers to cooperate until normal supply is fully resumed.
