Ganpati Festival 2026: Central Railway to Run Six Pune–Ratnagiri Special Train Trips

Pune, 5th September 2026: Central Railway will operate six Train on Demand (TOD) special train trips between Pune and Ratnagiri during the Ganpati Festival 2026 to accommodate the expected increase in passenger traffic.

The services will run on special charges in September, with two weekly services operating on different days.

Pune–Ratnagiri Special on Tuesdays

Train No. 01445 Pune–Ratnagiri Special will depart from Pune at 12:25 am on September 15 and 22 and reach Ratnagiri at 11:50 am the same day.

On the return journey, Train No. 01446 Ratnagiri–Pune Special will leave Ratnagiri at 5:50 pm on September 15 and 22 and arrive at Pune at 5:20 am the following Wednesday.

The train will have 20 LHB coaches, comprising three AC 2-Tier, 15 AC 3-Tier, one generator car and one second-class luggage/brake van.

Saturday Special Trains

Train No. 01447 Pune–Ratnagiri Special will depart from Pune at 12:25 am on September 12, 19 and 26 and reach Ratnagiri at 11:50 am the same day.

Train No. 01448 Ratnagiri–Pune Special will depart from Ratnagiri at 5:50 pm on the same dates and reach Pune at 5:20 am the following Sunday.

This service will also have 20 LHB coaches, including two AC 2-Tier, four AC 3-Tier, eight Sleeper Class, four General Second Class, one generator car and one second-class luggage/brake van.

Common Halts

Both Pune–Ratnagiri special services will halt at Chinchvad, Talegaon, Lonavala, Kalyan, Panvel, Pen, Roha, Mangaon, Veer, Karanjadi, Khed, Chiplun, Sawarda, Aravali Road and Sangameshwar Road.

Booking Details

Advance booking for Train Nos. 01445, 01446, 01447 and 01448 is open at computerised Passenger Reservation System (PRS) counters and through the IRCTC website.

The General Second Class coaches and luggage/brake vans attached to Train Nos. 01447/01448 will operate as unreserved coaches. Passengers travelling in these coaches can book tickets through the UTS app or UTS booking counters, with normal Superfast/Mail/Express charges applicable.

Passengers have been advised to verify the latest arrival and departure timings at intermediate stations through the Indian Railways enquiry portal or the NTES app before travelling.
