Real-Estate Professional Assaulted After Objecting To Loud Talking Outside Hotel

Mohammadwadi, 10th September 2026: A 42-year-old real-estate professional was allegedly assaulted by a group of men after he objected to them speaking loudly outside a hotel in the Mohammadwadi–NIBM Annexe area, police said.

The incident took place around 4 am on September 2 near Ganga Kingston Society, Rahoja Vista Circle, NIBM Annexe, Mohammadwadi, in front of Hotel Sufi in Kondhwa.

The complainant Vishal Ramesh Rayasighani, 42, a real-estate professional, is a resident of NIBM Annexe, Mohammadwadi.

According to the complaint, Vishal and his friend Shahbaz were outside the hotel when they allegedly asked a man identified as Sahil to speak softly. The accused allegedly became angry over the objection and started abusing Vishal and his friend.

Sahil, along with other unidentified persons, allegedly assaulted the two men by kicking and punching them. Vishal sustained an injury to his right little finger and complained of pain and other injuries, according to the police.

The accused allegedly continued the assault following the verbal altercation before leaving the spot.

The Kalepadal police have registered an FIR (No. 424/2026) in connection with the incident under Sections 117(2), 115(2), 352 and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The provisions invoked include voluntarily causing grievous hurt, voluntarily causing hurt, intentional insult with intent to provoke a breach of peace, and acts committed by several persons in furtherance of their common intention.

Police are investigating the identities and roles of the other persons allegedly involved in the assault.
