Pune Metro Advisory For Ganesh Devotees: Avoid Mahatma Phule Mandai Station For Alighting

Pune, 11th September 2026: Pune Metro has issued a travel advisory for Ganesh devotees, requesting passengers travelling towards the city from the PCMC and Vanaz sides to avoid alighting at Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station due to the expected crowd during the Ganeshotsav period.

According to Pune Metro, devotees travelling on Line 1 (PCMC to Swargate) from the PCMC side are requested to alight at Kasba Peth Metro Station and proceed for Ganpati darshan.

Similarly, passengers travelling on Line 2 (Vanaz to Ramwadi) from the Vanaz side are requested to alight at PMC Metro Station and proceed towards the Ganpati darshan areas.

Pune Metro has requested devotees to use Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station only for their return journey.

The advisory aims to reduce crowding at Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station and facilitate smoother and more convenient travel for devotees during the festival.

Travel Advisory:
Line 1 – PCMC to Swargate: Alight at Kasba Peth Metro Station when travelling from the PCMC side.
Line 2 – Vanaz to Ramwadi: Alight at PMC Metro Station when travelling from the Vanaz side.
Mahatma Phule Mandai Metro Station: Use the station only for the return journey.
