Pune: IT Firm Promises High-Paying Jobs, Collects Rs 77.9 Lakh From 39 Employees And Shuts Down, Case Registered
Pune, 14th September 2026: A company allegedly lured employees with promises of high-paying jobs in the IT field, collected money from them and then shut down without paying their salaries, according to a complaint filed with the police.
Chaturshringi police have registered a case against five people, including the directors of Creative Web Solution, for allegedly cheating 39 employees of a total Rs 77.91 lakh.
The complaint was filed by a 39-year-old woman from Fursungi. The accused have been identified as company CEO Ankush Wankhede alias Ashish Rahate, managing director Tejashree Khatalakar, HR department employee Prasanna Padmakar Rao Ambekar, Sagar Suresh Shelar and Mansi Mangesh Shelar, along with others.
According to police, the accused allegedly formed the company and offered jobs to the complainant and other employees by promising lucrative salary packages. They allegedly collected an amount equivalent to 30% of the promised package from employees in advance.
The complainant allegedly paid Rs 2.48 lakh but was not paid her salary for four months. The company was subsequently shut down, leaving her and other employees without their dues.
According to the complaint, Rs 75.43 lakh was allegedly collected from 38 other employees who worked with the complainant. Including the Rs 2.48 lakh allegedly collected from the complainant, the total amount involved is Rs 77.91 lakh.
Chaturshringi police have registered a case under Sections 318(4) and 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita and are investigating the allegations.
