MSEDCL Gears Up For Ganesh Immersion, Deploys Teams Across Pune

Pune, 24th September 2026: With Ganesh immersion processions scheduled in the city, the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) has deployed teams along major procession routes to ensure uninterrupted and safe power supply.

Teams of officers and staff from the Parvati, Shivajinagar and Rasta Peth divisions have been deployed at key locations. The arrangements will remain in place from September 24 to 26 and until the immersion of the city’s prominent Ganesh idols is completed.

In the Parvati division, a 24-hour control room has been set up at the Mahatma Phule Mandai office, with senior officials coordinating with field staff. A total of 15 teams, each comprising three employees, will be deployed. The control room can be contacted at 7875767227.

Six teams have been deployed in the Mandai area, Tulshibaug, Dagdusheth Ganpati area, Kumbharwada Road, SP College, Alka Chowk and the Rameshwar Chowk-Mamledar Kacheri stretch. An emergency team will be stationed at Perugate Chowk. Nine additional teams have been deployed in the New English School, Ganjwe Chowk, Dandekar Bridge, Janata Vasahat and Sinhagad Road-Mhatre Bridge-Mhasoba Chowk areas.

The Shivajinagar division has deployed separate teams under the Modi Ganpati, Shivajinagar Gaothan and Khadki branches. A dedicated complaint number, 7875767531, has also been provided.

Teams have been deployed along routes including Samadhan Chowk-Ganpati Chowk, Kunte Chowk, Shagun Chowk, Chitrashala Chowk and Garud Ganpati Chowk-Alka Chowk. In Shivajinagar, teams will cover Police Ground, Corporation, Wakdewadi-Sancheti Hospital and Patil Estate areas.

In Khadki, teams have been deployed along the Sagar Hotel-Sonar Galli, Mauli Chowk-Rajmol Chowk, Cantonment Hospital-Gadi Adda and Bhatia Lodge-Ram Mandir immersion routes.

MSEDCL will also set up a monitoring centre near Zudio on Laxmi Road, as it does every year. Senior officials will monitor the procession from the centre and coordinate the response until the processions conclude.

In the Rasta Peth division, three-member teams have been stationed at Samadhan Chowk, Lal Mahal Chowk and Pasodya Vithoba Temple Chowk. Emergency power supply arrangements have also been kept ready.

MSEDCL officials have inspected the procession routes and immersion sites and completed necessary maintenance and repair work on the electrical network.

“In order to ensure a safe and uninterrupted power supply, teams will remain operational round the clock until the processions conclude,” said in-charge chief engineer Dnyandev Padalkar.
