Missing Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Constable Found Dead in Nigdi, Suspected Suicide

Nigdi, 26th September 2026: Vijay Koli, a police constable serving in the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police Commissionerate, was found dead at a bus depot in Nigdi’s Transport Nagar on Saturday morning, two days after he went missing. He allegedly died by suicide after shooting himself in the head with his service pistol, with preliminary information pointing to family discord as a possible reason.

Koli had reportedly left his home two days ago following a family dispute and had been missing since then. As he had taken his government-issued pistol with him, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Police launched a search operation to trace him.

Koli was last reportedly seen in the area around Durgadevi Hill in Nigdi. Police personnel also attempted to locate him using drones as part of the search operation.

His body was eventually found at the bus depot in Transport Nagar, Nigdi, on Saturday morning. According to the preliminary information, he allegedly used his service pistol to shoot himself in the head.

Koli was posted as an RTPC, according to the information available. Further details about the incident are awaited.
