Pune Yard Block on October 11: 10 Trains Cancelled, Short-Terminated or Rescheduled
Pune, 7th October 2026: Central Railway’s Pune Division will operate a nine-hour special traffic and power block at Pune Yard on Sunday, October 11, affecting the movement of several trains towards Hadapsar and Sasvad Road.
The block will be implemented from 8 am to 5 pm to carry out Engineering, Signalling & Telecommunication (S&T) and Overhead Equipment (OHE) works for replacement of DDS Point Nos. 253 (II & III) and 254 (I & II) on the Down Miraj Main Line of the existing Pune Yard layout.
During the block, arriving and departing trains towards Hadapsar cannot be handled on Platform No. 2, while trains towards Sasvad Road cannot be handled on Platforms No. 2 and 3 at Pune railway station. As a result, two trains will remain cancelled, while several others will be short-terminated or short-originated.
Two DEMU services cancelled
The following trains will remain cancelled on October 11:
– 71420 Satara–Pune DEMU
– 71407 Pune–Daund DEMU
Six trains to be short-terminated
The following services will not operate up to their scheduled Pune terminus:
– 12940 Jaipur–Pune Express — Journey commencing October 10; short-terminated at Khadki.
– 12136 Nagpur–Pune Express — Journey commencing October 10; short-terminated at Hadapsar.
– 71406 Baramati–Pune DEMU — Journey commencing October 11; short-terminated at Daund.
– 12127 CSMT Mumbai–Pune Express — Journey commencing October 11; short-terminated at Khadki.
– 11078 Jammu Tawi–Pune Express — Journey commencing October 9; short-terminated at Hadapsar.
– 11406 Amravati–Pune Express — Journey commencing October 10; short-terminated at Hadapsar.
Four trains to originate from alternate stations
Four Pune-originating services will also undergo changes on October 11:
– 11425 Pune–Kolhapur DEMU will short-originate from Satara.
– 12939 Pune–Jaipur Express will short-originate from Khadki at 5.35 pm.
– 12128 Pune–CSMT Mumbai Express will short-originate from Khadki at 5.55 pm.
– 12135 Pune–Nagpur Express will short-originate from Hadapsar at 5.45 pm.
The temporary changes are linked to the nine-hour traffic and power block at Pune Yard. Passengers travelling on the affected services are advised to check the latest train status and timings before starting their journey through the Indian Railways Enquiry Portal or the official NTES app.
