Pune, 20th October 2026: Dining out is set to become costlier, with restaurants planning to raise menu prices by 10-15% over the next 8-10 days amid rising costs of commercial LPG, vegetables, dairy products, wages and rentals.

The price revisions are expected to be completed by Diwali. Restaurants are also considering increasing alcoholic beverage prices following revisions in excise fees.

Industry representatives said the uneven monsoon and drought concerns could push vegetable prices and operating costs higher, potentially prompting further hikes. Some menu items could see increases of up to 18%.

Smaller eateries may also face higher expenses if water restrictions force them to depend on private tankers.
