1,368 Pre-Loved Items Collected, 701 Exchanged Through Pune’s Eco Haat Initiative
Pune, 6th November 2026: Giving the festive spirit of Diwali a sustainable twist, VK Group organised the 11th edition of its Pre-Loved Eco Haat, alongside a Diwali Bazaar, from October 26 to 29, 2026, at its premises in Pune. Organised by Sustainability Initiatives (SI) for VK Group, the four-day initiative encouraged employees to embrace mindful consumption, reuse pre-owned belongings and explore sustainable alternatives to conventional festive shopping.
Over the course of the initiative, a total of 1,368 pre-loved items have been collected, of which 701 have been exchanged, giving these products an extended life and reducing the need for new purchases. The initiative reflects the growing participation in reuse and resource conservation within the VK Group community.
Ar. Anagha Purohit-Paranjape, Trustee, Sustainability Initiatives, said the initiative aimed to make sustainability a part of everyday choices, particularly during the festive season when consumption and shopping tend to increase. By encouraging people to reuse, exchange and make responsible purchases, the Eco Haat sought to demonstrate that celebrations and environmental responsibility can go hand in hand.
The event featured 15 stalls, of which 13 were set up by VK Group employees. Visitors could explore a diverse range of products, including pre-loved clothing, accessories, household items, handmade decorations, jewellery, candles, festive gifts and traditional snacks. The combination of the Eco Haat and Diwali Bazaar brought together sustainable shopping, creativity and employee entrepreneurship under one roof.
The Diwali Bazaar also witnessed encouraging participation, recording sales of 174 products and generating total revenue of ₹56,373. It provided employees with a platform to showcase their products and creative offerings while giving colleagues an opportunity to support employee-led businesses through their purchases.
Through this initiative, Sustainability Initiatives sought to connect the spirit of festive celebrations with the larger message of environmental responsibility. From giving pre-owned belongings a second life to supporting employee-led enterprises, the event demonstrated how collective participation and small everyday choices can contribute to reducing waste and conserving resources.
The 11th Pre-Loved Eco Haat and Diwali Bazaar reinforced the importance of reuse, mindful shopping and responsible consumption, highlighting how sustainability can become an integral part of workplace culture and festive celebrations.
